Tennis Australia buoyed by Discovery contract protections, on cusp of new deals

The recently-signed 10-year Australian Open rights agreement between Tennis Australia and Discovery is a “real confidence booster” for the tennis governing body, which was satisfied with the various provisions and protections put in place in order to agree to such a long-term deal.

The Discovery contract, announced on September 7, marks the first of a raft of new international deals from 2022 onwards to be signed by Tennis Australia with the majority of agreements having come to the end of their term.
