World Rugby begins search for NFT suppliers

World Rugby has become the latest major sports body to announce its intention to tap into the digital collectibles marketplace by launching a Request for Information process.

Rugby union’s world governing bodies is seeking interested parties to co-develop a non-fungible token (NFT) programme that will enable the sport to reach and attract new audiences through a “fun, unique and immersive” offering across the spectrum of collectables, fan tokens, trading cards and unique ownership of men’s and women’s Rugby World Cup moments.
