Premiership Rugby, organising body of the top tier of English club rugby union, has announced that its Premiership Rugby Cup will become the first professional northern hemisphere competition to trial the ‘Smart Rugby Ball’, which aims to provide new, real-time data-led insights for teams, coaches, fans at the game, and television viewers.
