The Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) has further advanced plans for a joint bid from Catalunya and Aragon for the 2030 winter Olympic and Paralympic Games by issuing a technical agreement for how the event would be staged.
The COE has sent a letter to the Governments of Catalunya and Aragon, along with the Spanish Government. Spanish newspaper El País said the plan put forward, which requires the formal endorsement of the institutions involved, is the same as that presented at the last meeting of the technical commission on March 22, which Aragon took issue with.
