Rugby Australia welcomes further government support for World Cup bid

Rugby Australia has welcomed confirmation of further support from the national government for its bid to host the 2027 edition of the men’s Rugby World Cup, with investment to also be provided for a proposal to stage the women’s event in 2029.

The government has already provided A$9.8m (€6.6m/$7.4m) in funding to support Rugby Australia’s bid for the 2027 men’s event.
