US video game developer, publisher and esports tournament organiser Riot Games is seeking to terminate its sponsorship deal with cryptocurrency exchange FTX, claiming its association with the collapsed company has inflicted “reputational harm”.

The move by Riot has emerged in a filing with the court overseeing FTX’s bankruptcy case. The motion has been filed with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, with a hearing set for January 11.
