Paris 2024 organisers consider cost-cutting measures

Fewer courtesy cars and shorter operating windows for facilities are two of the cost-cutting measures being assessed by organisers of the 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris amid the difficult global economic climate.

Paris 2024 is “right on track” was the message delivered by the International Olympic Committee (IOC)’s Coordination Commission following a visit to the French capital that concluded yesterday (Wednesday), but budgetary issues were one of the main talking points as organisers seek to meet financial targets.
