The years-long battle between Major League Baseball clubs the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals over television rights fees paid by regional sports network Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) is being heard at the New York Supreme Court.
Lawyers for the network, which the Orioles own a controlling stake in, and the Nationals appeared before the New York Court of Appeals on Tuesday as they seek a resolution on $100m (€94.5m) in disputed rights fees. MASN said that MLB should not be allowed to decide how much in rights fees the Nationals would receive, with the Nationals arguing that MLB is impartial and should be able to decide, as reported by The Washington Post.
