José Luis Martínez-Almeida, the Mayor of Madrid, has moved to deny that the city has formally begun putting together a bid to host the 2036 Olympics, contradicting Deputy Mayor, Begoña Villacís, who yesterday told radio station Cadena SER that a bid was underway.
