The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has cleared World Triathlon (WT) president Marisol Casado of any wrongdoing following a complaint filed by the World Triathlon Tribunal, as the Spanish official seeks to secure a fourth term in office this weekend.
The IOC Executive Board (EB), which met yesterday (Wednesday) for a consultative meeting to prepare for future meetings, received a report from the IOC Ethics Commission with regard to a complaint filed on behalf of the five members of the World Triathlon Tribunal against Casado, along with Antonio Arimany and Bernard St-Jean, respectively WT secretary general and chair of the WT Legal and Constitution Committee.
