Four companies named official suppliers for Beijing 2022

The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics organising committee has signed a quartet of official suppliers.

Beijing Kingsoft Office Software and Beijing 1rock Technology were announced as the Official Office Collaboration Software Suppliers and will provide software and supporting services for Beijing 2022.

Beijing Gehua CATV Network and Hebei Broadcasting and TV Information Network Group were announced as the Official CATV Services Suppliers and will provide cable television services.

Beijing 2022 has two tiers of supplier – Official Exclusive Supplier and Official Supplier. These are the third and fourth rungs, respectively, in a four-tier sponsorship programme topped by Official Partners and with Official Sponsors on the second level.

The OC invited companies to bid for official supplier contracts in several categories in April and all four of the recent appointments are for fourth-tier Official Supplier deals.

As of June 30, 2020, Beijing 2022 has signed 30 sponsors. A total of ten Official Partners have been signed: Bank of China, Air China, Yili Group, Anta, China Unicom, Shougang Group, CNPC, Sinopec Group, State Grid and PICC Group.

Last month, during an online meeting, the IOC’s coordination commission for Beijing 2022 praised China’s preparation efforts. Beijing vice-mayor and executive vice-president of the organising committee, Zhang Jiandong, said: “Despite the Covid-19 outbreak, we have been delivering a continuous effort without lowering standards.”
