Gianni Infantino, the Fifa president, has said that a women’s equivalent of the Club World Cup is set to launch “very soon”, as part of an overarching overhaul of the women’s game.
Infantino told French newspaper L’Équipe that he plans to “revolutionise women’s football” with the launch of a new tournament that would see the top club sides from Europe, the US and the rest of the world face off against each other.
