HDTV brand Vizio has signed a season-long partnership with the NBA’s LA Clippers.
Under the deal, the southern California-based company will see the Vizio logo feature courtiside and throughout the Staples Center this season.
Robynne Curry, senior director of product marketing at Vizio, said: “Since founding in Southern California in 2002, Vizio has been committed to supporting our local community. We are thrilled to celebrate our local sports fans through a sponsorship of the LA Clippers.”
On announcing the deal, Vizio worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to award seven kids and their families a premium suite experience at the Staples Center for the game against the Toronto Raptors.
Vizio Inc. is a privately-held company that designs and manufactures televisions, sound bars, speakers, and SmartCast tablet remote products.
The brand has previously sponsored college football properties in the southern California and Arizona markets. In 2010, Vizio signed a four-year contract to sponsor the annual Rose Bowl game in Pasadena, California, staring with the 2011 Rose Bowl presented by Vizio and ending with the 2014 Vizio BCS National Championship Game.
Vizio was also naming sponsor of the 2014 Fiesta Bowl – one of the six major ‘New Year’s Six’ bowls – played annually in the Phoenix metropolitan area in Arizona.
