Victoria to pay A$380m for pulling 2026 Commonwealth Games hosting rights

The State of Victoria has agreed to pay Commonwealth Games stakeholders A$380m (€223.3m/$243.1m) in compensation following last month’s decision to drop hosting rights to the 2026 edition of the multi-sport event.
