Sports data and technology company Stats Perform has agreed a four-year deal with the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol).
Serving as Conmebol’s official data provider, Stats Perform will exclusively collect and manage data from its key competitions, including the Copa America, Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana and Recopa.
Stats Perform said that, through the deal, it will “work with Conmebol and their partners (including broadcast partner, Mediapro) to create unique experiences which inform and empower their audiences across traditional broadcast channels (including Fox Sports and Globo), OTT platforms (including DAZN and Facebook), digital media, brands, sponsors, fantasy games and more”.
Detailed data will be delivered through a range of feeds, enhancing the delivery of broadcast graphics, automated highlights, fantasy experiences and digital match centres.
Extensive preview packs will be created by Stats Perform’s editorial team and made available ahead of all Conmebol competitions and matches. The team will also produce the Conmebol ranking system ahead of the Copa Libertadores draw for the next four years, starting in 2019.
Stats Perform already holds agreements with the English Premier League, Spanish LaLiga, North America’s MLS, U.S. Soccer, the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the US and the Dutch Eredivisie. The company was created when US-based sports data and technology firm Stats completed its merger with UK-based operation Perform back in July.
