Socios.com puts case for fan token ‘utility’ over trading value

James Newman, the new global director of corporate affairs for Chiliz and Socios.com, has told SportBusiness that fan token values will increasingly be driven by their 'utility' rather than status as a trading asset.

As announced last week, Newman is now responsible for global stakeholder engagement and external affairs for both the parent company Chiliz and Socios.com focused primarily on Europe and the US, as well as Brazil, “a big and growing market”.
