Saudi Arabia is reported to have offered Lega Serie A a fee of €138m ($138m) to host the Supercoppa Italiana over a six-year period, while the organising body of the top division of Italian club football is considering opening a new office in Abu Dhabi as it looks to grow its presence in the Middle East and North Africa.

The Milano Finanza newspaper has reported that Saudi Arabia’s bid for the Supercoppa is worth €23m per season from 2024 to 2029 – a substantial increase on the value of its current agreement with Lega Serie A.
