Saudi Arabia seals agreement to host 2029 Asian Winter Games at Neom

The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has approved Saudi Arabia as host of its 2029 Asian Winter Games, with events to be staged at a yet-to-be-built resort at the Kingdom’s $500bn (€506.4bn) Neom site.

The Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee (SAOC) submitted a bid to host the Games in August, with Saudi Minister of Sport and president of the SAOC, Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al Faisal, presenting the proposal today (Tuesday) at the OCA’s general assembly meeting.
