Sapporo, JOC to consider delaying Winter Olympics bid to 2034

Yasuhiro Yamashita, chairman of the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC), has revealed that Sapporo’s bid to host the 2030 Winter Olympic Games could be pushed back by four years amid local opposition caused by the ongoing bribery scandal surrounding the Tokyo 2020 summer Games.
