NZ hockey and netball CEOs swap roles

Hockey New Zealand has named Malcolm Harris chief executive, swapping roles with the body’s CEO Hilary Poole who will join Netball New Zealand.

Harris spent three years governing the Trans-Tasman Netball board and has been acting chief executive for Netball New Zealand since July.

Hockey New Zealand Chairman Dean Ellwood said: "The quality of applicants was such that it was a difficult decision, but Malcolm’s authentic leadership style and his strategic leadership experience meant he was the best person for the job.”

Harris will start at Hockey New Zealand on October24, while Poole starts as chief executive of Netball New Zealand on the October 14.
