Digital media company theScore has been appointed an authorized sports betting operator of the National Basketball Association in a multi-year partnership.
Effective immediately, theScore will gain access to official NBA betting data, including league marks and logos, for its mobile sports betting app, theScore Bet. Terms were not disclosed.
TheScore Bet is the first mobile sportsbook to be created and launched by a media company in North America. It currently operates in New Jersey.
“We’re delighted to work with the NBA to create new and exciting sports betting experiences for basketball fans,” said John Levy, Founder and CEO of theScore. “This collaboration will help us enhance our offering as we work to provide theScore’s highly engaged media app users a best-in-class integrated betting experience.”

The two organizations will work together on best-in-class practices to protect the integrity of NBA games. TheScore is a part of Toronto-based Score Media and Gaming, and the move continues an active run of dealmaking by the league in the sports wagering space.
