Nascar’s Truck Series will undergo a name change for 2021, reverting back to the Nascar Camping World Truck Series moniker from the current Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series branding.

In 2014, Illinois-based recreational vehicles and camping company Camping World Holdings signed a deal to be the entitlement sponsor of the Truck Series through the 2022 season.

Camping World has looked to promote several of its brands in the partnership, including most recently Gander Outdoors, leading to multiple name changes over the years.

The series was known as Nascar Camping World Truck Series from 2009 until 2018 before moving to the Nascar Gander Outdoors Truck Series last season, and then the Nascar Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series this year.

“The transition back to the Nascar Camping World Truck Series demonstrates the continued power of Nascar’s brand-loyal fan base and creates a broader touchpoint with fans who are RV and Outdoor enthusiasts,” said Camping World chief executive Marcus Lemonis

“We leveraged the series to support the successful launch of our new brand in 2019, and look forward to celebrating the 2020 Nascar Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series Champion in November. The next generation of the Nascar Camping World Truck Series is right around the corner and we’re committed to the series that has delivered for our customers, fans and the entire Camping World family of brands,” Lemonis said.

Camping World also has an extensive relationship with Major League Baseball, most recently extending that tie to be the presenting sponsor of that league’s 2020 National League Championship Series.
