Artificial intelligence company Satisfi Labs has partnered with US stock car racing series Nascar and its racetracks to enable its Answer Engine platform engage with fans throughout the season.
Through this partnership, Satisfi Labs will be able to provide racing and venue information at all Nascar-owned tracks including Darlington, Daytona, Homestead, Martinsville, Phoenix, Richmond, and Talladega.
It means fans will be able to engage a virtual assistant to ask questions directly through their preferred digital channels in a conversational format.
As Nascar continues to bring fans back safely to race tracks amid the pandemic, the digital tool will be able to answer the influx of questions fans have around changed entry protocols, new in-venue activations, as well as providing access to the latest driver and track updates.
The Answer Engine will also pull in direct feed information that adds specific knowledge around camping, travel packages for booking trips to particular race tracks and information on racetracks and infields.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Satisfi Labs to utilize innovative technology to help fans feel safe coming back to races, navigate Nascar’s track and race-day experience questions, and help provide a premium guest experience," said Wyatt Hicks, Nascar digital managing director.
"Our goal is to consistently create new ways to help our fans get closer to the excitement surrounding fans’ favorite drivers, including upgrading customer services and leveraging digital technology in new ways. We’re glad to be accomplishing these goals and incorporate innovative solutions into our fan engagement strategy to provide the most approachable experience possible," he said.
Data gathered from the multi-track assistants will also provide Nascar with insights about fans’ race day priorities, concession preferences, stadium logistics challenges, and general fan interests that can be leveraged to improve future offerings.
“Nascar is paving the way for fan engagement through flawless customer service and information accessibility,” said Don White, Satisfi Labs CEO and co-founder. “Deploying our interactive Answer Engine to answer fan questions directly with conversational AI will grant racing fans on-demand access and deliver timely information tailored to each fan.”
In February, Satisfi Labs became as a sponsor of Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Galaxy and the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings.
In October, White spoke in a SportBusiness technology webinar about the opportunity the company had identified in one-to-one search engines, explaining how the company had initially created custom and conversational search engines to enhance the Major League Baseball fan experience cross 15 teams.
