Artificial intelligence company Satisfi Labs has partnered with Minor League Baseball help drive ticket sales for all 120 affiliated MiLB teams.
Satisfi Labs’ AI-powered ticket sales and service assistants will help answer fans' pre-purchase questions and also aid with questions related to accessing tickets, refunds and ticket forwarding in conversational manner.
“This is a pivotal moment for MiLB to drive the adoption of new technology and communication channels, and will have a lasting impact on their relationships with their fans throughout the season,” says Don White, Satisfi Labs chief executive. “Introducing friction-less conversations into the MiLB team websites and apps will be an integral step in enhancing the full-fan experience and driving stronger fan engagement moving into the 2022 season.”
In February 2021, Satisfi Labs became a sponsor of Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Galaxy and the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings.
This was soon followed by a partnership with US stock car racing series Nascar.
In October 2021, White spoke in a SportBusiness technology webinar about the opportunity the company had identified in one-to-one search engines, explaining how the company had initially created custom and conversational search engines to enhance the Major League Baseball fan experience across 15 teams.
The upcoming season will be a critical one for MiLB for gate attendance after losing the entire 2020 season to the Covid-19 pandemic, and still operating at a limited level in many markets during the 2021 season amid the public health crisis.
MLB, which early last year completed a takeover and overhaul of the affiliated minors, recently reintroduced traditional MiLB league names.
