Kenya has said it will bid to host the 2029 World Athletics Championships after missing out on rights for the 2025 event to Tokyo, Japan.
The Kenyan capital of Nairobi was one of three bidders, along with Silesia and Singapore, to miss out on the 2025 World Championships as World Athletics awarded the hosting rights in July.
