Japan’s Wowow renews US Open rights shortly before 2022 edition

Japanese pay-television broadcaster Wowow and the United States Tennis Association (USTA) have announced a US Open rights renewal just six days before the 2022 tournament begins.

Wowow and the USTA said today (Tuesday) that the broadcaster has renewed its live television and digital rights agreement and will celebrate its 30th year of live coverage at this year’s event. It is understood to be multi-year deal, although the full duration is not yet known.
