The Australian Open has set a new attendance record for its 2023 edition, with organisers seeking to break the one million mark for next year’s tennis grand slam.

Tennis Australia today (Tuesday) issued its ‘by the numbers’ breakdown of the Melbourne event, which ran from January 16-29 and was the first edition to be free of Covid-19 restrictions in two years.
