The National Football League’s Indianapolis Colts are partnering with daily fantasy sports company FanDuel for the remainder of the 2019-20 season.
Both parties will work to engage new and existing fans using a range of marketing assets, from in-stadium digital signage and in-game promotions to digital, radio, and TV advertising, among other branding initiatives.
FanDuel – which is also a sports betting operator in the United States – will be designated the official fantasy sports partner of the Colts. The company’s activation around the Colts will specifically tied to fantasy, and not its sportsbook operations, per league rules.
In September, FanDuel announced a multi-year marketing partnership with former Colts punter Pat McAfee.
Last month, the NFL named DraftKings as the league’s first official daily fantasy partner in its gradual embrace of legalized sports betting.
The NFL remains the only major North American sports league not to have a fully-fledged sports betting partner.
