The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has appointed Matti Nurminen as its new general secretary, with the Finn to assume the role in the summer.
Nurminen will replace the IIHF’s interim general secretary, Gion Veraguth, and is expected to begin his duties following the IIHF World Championship in his home country from May 13 to 29.
