The International Cricket Council is to release a daily offering of non-fungible tokens throughout the forthcoming Men’s T20 World Cup, while Cricket Australia has announced plans to issue its own NFTs later this week.
The ICC’s digital collectibles, marketed as ‘Crictos’, will depict standout moments from every match of this year’s tournament shortly after they happen. It will be the first time NFTs have been released in near real-time at a major cricket event.
