The DP World Tour, formerly the European Tour, will host a tournament in Japan for the first time next year, the ISPS Handa Championship at PGM Ishioka Golf Club in Omitama, taking place April 21-24.

The tournament is being run under a three-year agreement between European Tour group and ISPS (International Sports Promotion Society) Handa, an organisation founded by Japanese philanthropist Dr Haruhisa Handa that promotes sport as means to "inspire, transform, and unite people and communities across social, racial and socio-economic barriers". ISPS Handa has sponsored tournaments on the European Tour for more than a decade.
