Germany and Switzerland reintroduce spectator ban following Covid spike

Spectators will once again be banned from German and Swiss sports stadiums after the national governments in both countries reintroduced the measure to curb a spike in Covid-19 cases in both countries.

The new nationwide restriction in Germany was announced by German Chancellor Angela Merkel will take effect from November 2 with all professional sports to be played behind closed doors.
