US automotive manufacturer Ford will return to Formula 1 for the first time in more than two decades after entering into a long-term strategic technical partnership with Red Bull Racing.

Ford and Red Bull Powertrains, the reigning constructors’ and drivers’ world champions’ in-house operation, will work together on the development of a next-gen hybrid power unit to be used from the start of the motor-racing championship’s new rules era, due to commence from the 2026 season.
