Fifa warns Thai broadcasters risk losing World Cup rights over encryption issues

Fifa has warned broadcasters in Thailand that their 2022 World Cup rights are at risk over problems with signals leaking into neighbouring territories.

The Sports Authority of Thailand, which last week secured the media rights for the tournament in a last-minute deal, is speaking to Thai regulator the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) and to broadcasters to address the problem.
