Euroleague Basketball has unveiled the 10 finalists of its 2020 Fan XP Innovation Challenge, a contest for tech-focused startups to present innovative ways to enhance the fan experience in sport.
Euroleague Basketball engaged a jury of global technology professionals and experts to whittle down the shortlist from 80 initial entrants, from 17 different countries.
The finalists will now proceed to present their projects to a jury formed of top sports, technology, innovation, and investment specialists at the 4YFN startup event in Barcelona, taking place from 24 to 26 February. The winning startups will be chosen at the event.
The EB 2020 Fan XP finalists are: Edisn (India); Stadiugraph (Italy); StriveCloud (Belgium); Pressenger (Hungary); SeatServe and ViciTV (both US); Piing (UK); Vogo (France); along with YBVR and Watafan (both Spain).
Euroleague Basketball lists the challenge’s stated goals of offering solutions to create the best fan experience possible in one of three fields: broadcast-related fan engagement; in-arena fan engagement and/or smart arena solutions; and fan engagement through digital platforms.
