The Premier League is reported to be closing in on a lucrative six-year extension to its sponsorship and licensing agreement with EA Sports that would be worth close to £488m ($587.6m).
The central deal would see the video game developer continue as a Lead Partner of the Premier League and extend its exclusive game licensing deal, reports Sky News. It would be worth more than £80m a year to the league and £4m per club when divided between the 20 teams in the division. The publication reports clubs were briefed at a meeting on Friday that the deal was close to being finalised.
