Barcelona’s America’s Cup to commence in Vilanova i la Geltrú

Organisers of the America’s Cup have announced that the 37th edition of the sailing showpiece will commence in the Catalonian port of Vilanova i la Geltrú on September 14-17.

Vilanova i la Geltrú, the venue for the preliminary regatta, is located 45km southwest of Barcelona, which in March 2022 was granted the America’s Cup hosting rights. Racing will see a mix of both fleet and match-racing with the six confirmed entries for the America’s Cup all represented.
