AFL chief executive McLachlan to stand down

Australian Football League chief executive Gillon McLachlan has announced he will leave the organisation at the end of the current season following eight years at the helm of the Australian rules football competition.

McLachlan said he felt the time had come to move on after guiding the AFL through the Covid-19 pandemic.
