German sportswear manufacturer Ziener has been unveiled as the official clothing partner of the International Ski Federation’s (FIS) Nordic World Ski Championships in 2021.

The deal was brokered by the Infront agency, the exclusive media and marketing partner for the event, which will be held in Oberstdorf, Germany from February 23 to March 7.

The event will mark the first time that Ziener has sponsored the competition. Ziener will provide clothing to over 1,700 staff and volunteers as part of the agreement.

The deal also grants Ziener rights to publish World Championship highlight clips on its own digital channels and includes logo integration on the event website and on-site through video spots.

Additionally, Ziener can design an exclusive event collection for sale online, in dedicated shops and via the company’s exhibition space at the competition.

The deal has been signed after Norwegian supermarket chain Coop Norge broadened its presence in skiing by sponsoring the next three editions of the event. The contract builds on Coop’s sponsorship of the Nordic Combined World Cup and Cross Country World Cup.

Under the new deal, Coop will be granted exposure at the Oberstdorf 2021 and Planica 2023 Nordic World Ski Championships before stepping up as title sponsor of the 2025 event, for which the Norwegian city of Trondheim is the sole bidder.
