Women’s Rugby World Cup postponement confirmed, $2.7m funding package announced

World Rugby’s Executive Committee has formally authorised a recommendation to postpone this year's Women's Rugby World Cup in New Zealand to 2022.

Citing a number of uncertainties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the governing body also announced a funding package of $2.7m (€2.3m) to assist unions affected by the postponement.
