Disney’s ESPN announced that it recorded a 50 percent increase in viewership of the Women’s National Basketball Association first round of the 2022 playoffs compared to last year’s first and second rounds.
The games averaged 392,000 viewers across the 10 games played in the first round, making it the most-viewed first round in 15 years. This comes off the back of a successful regular season with the best viewership numbers in 14 years across the league’s nationally televised games on Disney and Paramount networks.
