USWNT throws weight behind US men’s World Cup team

The United States women's national soccer team will be throwing their weight behind their male counterparts at the upcoming 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar following the ratification of new collective bargaining agreements which includes equalizing prize money at Fifa World Cups.

Under terms of the landmark agreement, the US men’s and women’s players’ unions will split 90 per cent of the Fifa bonuses paid at the 2022 and 2023 World Cups, and 80 per cent of the bonuses at the 2026 and 2027 tournaments.
