Madrid-based LaLiga club Getafe has extended its main shirt deal with real estate company the Tecnocasa Group.
The two-season deal, from 2020-21 to 2021-22, will see Tecnocasa further its shirt sponsorship role with the club to eight seasons. The current contract ends in June 2020.
Last season, Getafe finished fifth in LaLiga, the club’s highest-ever finish in Spain’s top flight. The club has also reached the last 32 of this season’s Europa League where it will meet Dutch champions Ajax for a place in the last 16.
Despite its recent success, the club remains one of LaLiga’s smallest in revenue terms. Getafe’s main shirt deal with Tecnocasa, currently valued at about €1.2m ($1.3m) per year according to SportBusiness Soccer, places the club in 13th place in LaLiga’s shirt sponsorship rankings.
According to the Spanish sports new website Palco 23, Getafe will make about €4.7m in total from sponsorship, licensing and merchandising in 2019-2020.
