Stefano Domenicali ‘to become Formula 1 CEO’

Former Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali is to take over as chief executive of the Formula 1 motor racing series next year, according to media reports.

Motorsport news website Racefans.net and the BBC reported that Domenicali, who is currently chief executive of sports car manufacturer Lamborghini, will take over from Chase Carey, the current F1 chief executive and chairman. Carey is to remain connected to the series, although his future role is not yet clear.
