Spain’s bid for 2030 Winter Olympics breaks down over Aragon demands

The chances of Aragon being included in a joint bid with Catalonia to host the 2030 Winter Olympics appear to have receded after a meeting to decide on the terms of the candidacy failed to reach agreement.

A statement from the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) revealed it held a meeting with the Spanish government and representatives from the two regions yesterday (Monday) in what was the eleventh such attempt to agree on the bid.
