The Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) is poised to call an end to its proposed joint bid between Catalunya and Aragon for the 2030 winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in favour of refocusing on the 2034 event, according to reports today (Monday) in the Catalan media.

An official announcement on the decision is impending, according to Catalan newspaper Ara, with the bid having foundered in recent months amid arguments over the split of sporting events between the two regions.
