Global sailing series SailGP has added events in Christchurch and San Francisco to its 2022-23 calendar ahead of the final race of the current SailGP season in San Francisco next weekend.
The series has signed a long-term partnership with the New Zealand government, ChristchurchNZ and Auckland Unlimited that will see Christchurch and Auckland share hosting duties for the next four seasons. Christchurch was due to host an event back in January but it was cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
