Mixed martial arts promotion, the Professional Fighters League, is seeking $50m (€42.3m) from outside investors to fund its expansion into overseas markets.
The start-up league, which pits MMA fighters against each other in a regular season, playoff and championship format, has already secured $105m of investment since its inception in 2018. PFL chairman Donn Davis told CNBC that this included raising $28m in Series B funding in 2018 and $50m in Series C funding in 2019, but believes it is still two years away from breaking even.
