Original USFL owners sue Fox Sports to block spring league’s reboot

The revived United States Football League has been hit with a lawsuit by a group of owners and executives from the original USFL, which is aiming to block equity partner Fox Sports from launching a new spring football league with the same name.

In a complaint filed in a California federal court, an entity known as “The Real USFL, LLC” has alleged trademark infringement, false advertising, and false association by the new league.
