NZ Rugby bids to break Silver Lake deadlock in players’ union talks

New Zealand Rugby is to hold talks with the New Zealand players’ union next week over the proposed investment in its commercial rights by US private equity company Silver Lake Partners.

The New Zealand Rugby Players Association has opposed the deal, citing concerns over potential damage to the All Blacks brand and limitations on wider commercial opportunities.
